Giving away animals is extremely irresponsible. Birds are not crackerjack toys to be given to anyone who waltzes in a store and spends $20. Birds require just as much, if not more, attention and care than dogs and cats, and many people will not be ready for the responsibility of the task. Giving away any animal gives the impression that they are worth nothing.
