No “good” breeder would sell their puppies to a pet store to be bought by whoever has the money! A breeder that truly cares about their puppies would want to screen potential homes and make sure the puppy is going to the right home. Breeders selling their dogs to a pet store are ONLY in the business to make money and that is all they care about. And that is sad. It is not our right as human beings to profit off of innocent lives…. And what IS a “good” breeder anyways, when there are thousands upon thousands dying in shelters every year???

There is plenty of evidence that shows that Petland stores around the country have purchased puppies from breeders cited by the USDA with substandard conditions. The Petland website is not short of its own rhetoric regarding the HSUS.

Petland is part of the solution, not the problem. They do not want substandard breeders. They give their franchise stores a Do Not Buy list of breeders who do not meet the Petland/USDA standards. Peltand wants to end puppy mills. Support Petland. They are on the same side of the issue as you are.
